Class Descriptions

*Classes are listed from most gentle to most vigorous

Restorative Yoga
A relaxing yoga class that uses props like blocks, straps and blankets to support the body.  This class usually features longer holds which allow the body to naturally open up through passive stretching.  Appropriate for all levels.

Yoga for Runners
This class includes less “flow” and longer holds in lower body stretches.  Appropriate for all levels and non-runners.

Yin Yoga
A perfect complement to a more vigorous yoga practice.  Floor postures are passively held for several minutes in order to target the connective tissues of the body, such as the ligaments, bones, and joints which are not exercised very much in more active yoga classes.  This practice is nourishing, meditative, and strengthening for the whole, both mind and body.

Yoga for Mental Health
A trauma-informed, gentle yoga practice that has been shown to improve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and increase mindfulness and quality of life. Yoga for Mental Health is accessible to anyone, regardless of physical fitness or yoga experience.  Drop-in classes are open to adult community members.  Each class will combine conscious breathing exercises, accessible physical movements, and guided relaxation.  No verbal sharing will be asked of anyone.  Classes may not be appropriate for individuals currently in crisis.  We recommend participants also be connected with a therapist or counselor.

Yoga for Mental Health is a pay-what-you-wish class.

Flow and Restore
Gentle, slow flowing vinyasa rounded out with deeply restorative postures.

Yoga Basics
Vinyasa (flow) yoga offered at a slower pace with deeper explanations of poses.  This class is great for beginners and more advanced practitioners who are looking to reconnect with the fundamentals yoga.

Slow Flow Yoga
Suitable for beginners and the experienced, Slow Flow is a Hatha-inspired flow class. A cocktail of meditation, breath work, and mindful ‘slow’ postures to open the body and find depth within its multiple layers.

Rise and Shine Yoga
An active but gentle yoga class designed to energize the body and clear the mind for the day ahead.  Appropriate for all levels.

Baby and Me Yoga
An All Levels Yoga class for moms, dads, caregivers and their pre-crawling babies.  Modifications will be offered for any moms dealing with post-natal issues including diastasis.  Feeding and diaper changing are welcome during class.  Please bring a blanket for your baby and any toys/rattles that they enjoy.

All Levels Yoga
A vinyasa yoga class with many opportunities for both modification and advancement.  Yoga will feel comfortable whether you are newer to yoga or have a more advanced practice.

Yoga Conditioning
Build strength and stamina with a blend of yoga, Pilates, and other body weight exercises practiced on the mat. All levels are welcome.

Core Flow Yoga
A challenging vinyasa yoga class with a heavy emphasis on core strengthening.  All levels are welcome.

Intermediate Yoga
Challenging vinyasa yoga classes designed for practitioners with a strong yoga foundation.  This class incorporates challenging transitions, arm balancing and back bending – with options to modify.
